Hello again. Well, it's that time of year again: our annual nagashi somen event. Every year Hiro cuts down and cleans some bamboo and we slide tons of thin Japanese noodles down it. students and friends wait eagerly with chopsticks ready to scoop the noodles into their bowls of soup. Depending on your chopstick-skills, you can go home with a tummy full of noodles, mini-tomatoes, mandarin pieces......... Good fun to be had by all.

This year we will also have some mini water balloon yo-yos for the kids. The weather promises to be fine so are looking forward to a good turn-out. The list of names is growing so please don't forget to contact us if you can come, or write you name on the list at the log-house. The event will be held on September 11, from 11 am to 3pm with hourly rotations of groups. The last lot of somen will go down the bamboo slide at 2pm.

Here are some pictures from previous years...

Hope to see you there!
